Questions to ask yourself before initiating an acquisition strategy

10 | 2021 Chronicles

Are you really ready to initiate an acquisition strategy?

This is a question we often ask our clients when they visit our offices or call us. We aren’t trying to throw them off balance; quite the contrary! We ask this question to ensure that the thinking behind the acquisition project is complete and motivated by sound reasons.

Basic questions to ask yourself to determine if you are ready to enter the world of mergers and acquisitions.

  • Have you defined
  • Have you defined the value you want to add to your business?
  • Does the desired value have quantifiable objectives?
  • Have you taken the time to assess what additional resources will be needed for the project or what kind of reorganization of your current resources will have to take place to make it happen?
  • Have you thought about the time you will have to spend on your project and the impact on your daily operations?

Having answers to these questions proves that you are on the right track.

If you have any doubts, our team can guide you in this strategic thinking. Sometimes, simply getting an outside perspective can help you see things more clearly.
